Equine Dreams recently received a contribution of $2733 from the Knights of Columbus Council #14463. The donation of funds will be used to start construction immediately on demolition of the programs only public bathroom and making it accessible for all of our participants to utilize. The Knights of Columbus was officially chartered in 1882 as a fraternal benefit society. Their founding principles are charity, unity, patriotism and fraternity. The Knights was formed to provide financial aid to it's members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works.
The Knights of Columbus have grown from several members in one council to over 14,000 councils and 1.8 million members throughout the United States, Canada, the Philippines, Mexico, Poland, the Dominican Republic, Panama, Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, Cuba, Guatemala, Guam and Saipan.

Equine Dreams receives $12,500 from the COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF THE FOX RIVER VALLEY June 2011 Equine Dreams is pleased to announce it is the recipient of a grant from the Community Foundation of the Fox RiverValley. The grant of $12,500 will be applied toward the construction of a hay storage building. This will allow the program to accept and store donations of hay, as well as purchase hay when costs are lower and store for the year. This will decrease our overall hay bill, which will make the program more financially stable in our depressed economy.

The Community Foundation is a non-profit philanthropic organization that administers individual charitable funds from which grants and scholarships are distributed to benefit the citizens of the Greater Aurora Area, the TriCities, and Kendall County, Illinois.

Equine Dreams receives funding from the DEKALB COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION May 2011
Equine Dreams recently received a $2000 grant award from the DEKALB COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION. We are so grateful to the DeKalb County Community Foundation for supporting our ongoing efforts to provide this valuable service to our community.
The funds will go toward putting electric and plumbing into a mobile unit that serves multiple purposes. The mobile unit will have a tack store that will be run by some of our participants with special needs. The unit also has space for rainy day activities with our participants, as well as a parent waiting room and office spaces. There are also 2 bathrooms, one of which will be handicap accessible and allow for a permanent bathroom facility with running water.

Equine Dreams is the proud recipient of a $4000 grant from the HORIZONS UNLIMITED FOUNDATION., which will go towards the care and hay/grain for our horses.
Words can not express how grateful we are to the HORIZONS UNLIMITED FOUNDATION for its generosity in providing this grant. Located in DeKalb County, the Foundation provides support to cultural, educational and human service programs established and run by small, locally based organizations. Their mission is to expand the horizons for children and their families, and increase their ability to fully realize their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual gifts.

Equine Dreams recently received a $3500 contribution from the LELAND LIONS CLUB to go towards putting in a septic field which will allow us to have permanent facilities.
